Shipping Tips for Your Books

1. Choose the Right Box

  • Heavy-Duty is Best: Use a sturdy, double-walled cardboard box. Avoid used Amazon boxes as they are generally not secure enough to transport books.

2. Wrap for Protection

  • Individual Padding: For Rare or Valuable books, wrap each volume individually in bubble wrap and secure it with tape.

3. Pack to Prevent Movement

  • Fill the Gaps: Use crumpled packing paper, bubble wrap, or “air pillows” to fill any empty spaces in the box.
  • The Shake Test: Gently shake the box before sealing it. If you feel the contents shifting, add more padding.

4. Seal and Label Securely

  • The “H” Taping Method: Use heavy-duty packing tape to seal the center seam and all side edges of the box (forming an “H” shape).
  • Include Paperwork: Place a printout of your Order Confirmation inside the box on top of the books.
  • Clear Labeling: Apply your shipping label to a flat surface on the top of the box. Make sure any previous labels are removed or covered. Cover the label with clear tape to prevent it from tearing or getting smeared by moisture
